See the problem before paying to fix it
The sewer lateral runs from your house to the city main, and in most cases it's the homeowner's responsibility. When it fails, every drain in the house is affected.
A camera inspection shows exactly where the line is broken, sagging or full of roots, so you pay for the repair the pipe actually needs and nothing more.
Signs of a sewer line problem
- Drains back up again soon after being cleared
- Sewage coming up in a floor drain or tub
- Soggy, sunken or extra-green patches in the yard
- Sewer odor outside near the cleanout
Repair options
Spot repair
When the damage is in one section, we excavate just that spot and replace the broken pipe.
Trenchless lining
A resin liner is cured inside the old pipe, sealing cracks and root entry points without digging a trench.
Full replacement
For collapsed or badly bellied lines, we replace the lateral and add a cleanout for easy future access.
Sewer laterals in established neighborhoods
Older Yuba City streets still have clay laterals that were laid in short sections with many joints. Each joint is a place for roots to enter and for the pipe to shift as the soil moves.
If your home has no outdoor cleanout, adding one during the repair makes every future cleaning faster and cheaper.
Sewer Line Repair questions
Who is responsible for the sewer line?
In most cases the homeowner owns the lateral from the house to the connection at the city main. We can help you confirm where yours connects.
Is trenchless repair always possible?
No. Lining needs a pipe that still holds its shape. A collapsed or badly sagging line has to be replaced.
Can I get a copy of the camera video?
Yes. We'll share the footage so you can see what we saw.
