What counts as a plumbing emergency
If water is running where it shouldn't, sewage is coming into the house, or you have no water at all, that is an emergency. Every minute adds to the cleanup.
Call us first. We'll walk you through stopping the water while a plumber heads your way.
Call right away for
- A burst or spraying pipe
- Sewage backing up into tubs or floor drains
- A water heater leaking steadily
- No water anywhere in the house
While you wait
Shut off the water
Close the main valve, usually near the front hose bib or in the meter box at the street. A quarter turn is often enough.
Cut the power if needed
If water is near outlets or an electric water heater, turn off that breaker before stepping in.
Stop using drains
For a sewage backup, don't flush or run water until the line is cleared.
Fast response across the Yuba-Sutter area
We work throughout Yuba City, Marysville, Live Oak, Plumas Lake, Olivehurst and Sutter, so the plumber coming to you is already nearby.
Winter freezes are rare here, but when nights drop below freezing, exposed lines on north-facing walls and in unheated garages are the first to split.
Emergency Plumbing questions
Where is my main water shutoff?
Most Yuba City homes have one near the front of the house by a hose bib, and the city meter box near the curb also has a valve.
Do emergency calls cost more?
After-hours visits can carry a higher rate. We'll tell you the price on the phone before anyone is sent.
Should I call my insurance first?
Stop the water and call a plumber first. Take photos, then contact your insurer once the leak is under control.
